Rey waiting for 15 years for her parents to come back, putting her life on ice and being fully prepared to forgive them for everything they did to her, is just about as fuxked up as Kylo completely rejecting his parents and fighting against them and killing his dad. That kind of mental place is just about the same amount of messed up, just opposite, and I think it was on purpose.
Truth right there. They BOTH had some serious parental issues.
We’re into the final stretch here and things are moving along! I’ve had some setbacks between holidays and my wrist starting to hurt again (I have issues with tendinits and carpal tunnel that have plagued me on and off since 1995).

ReyloWriMo Update – 11/23/2018
I’m at the 20K word mark at last!!! November is just a terrible month for this. I’ve spent the bulk of the past week trying to write while my mother is talking to me, lol. Split attention span. Had a lovely Thanksgiving, but I this week is just a wash. November is just nothing but family time. But I’ve snuck in 20K words in spite of it all, and I’m proud of that.
I’m also looking forward to getting our two love birds alone together at last for some private conversation in Chapter Eighteen. That’s gonna be fun.
But now we have cookies to bake. Happy Thanksgiving, all!
What is Secret Santa?: It is an arrangement by which a people in fandom exchange Christmas presents anonymously, each signed-up member of the group being assigned another member for whom to provide a gift, typically a creation (a fanfic, a gifset, a graphic, etc.)
We want to make it open to anyone who wants to get involved. Cooking Turkey broth as a base for gravy for Thanksgiving dinner tonight. Bagging the extra to freeze really reminded me of some of the lovely detailed writing at the beginning of chapter 15 of @vespaer77 ’s fic, The Machine. My favorite, go read it on Ao3.

Vespaer's Dark Side
