During the standoff on the bridge at Starkiller Base, Kylo Ren yields to the light within him and accepts Han’s plea to leave with him, no questions asked. With the map to Luke Skywalker secured, the Resistance hastily relocates to an island planet in the Outer Rim, spurred by unsettling intel about recent First Order developments in tracking technology.
Meanwhile, Rey—untrained and stronger than she knows—grapples with the awakening of her power in the Force and struggles to determine where her path must lead. As uncertainty and strange dreams compel her to seek Kylo’s help, one thing becomes clear to them both: Whatever passed between them in the interrogation room was only a beginning, and the will of the Force is rarely easily understood . .
After Rey and Finn look on as Kylo Ren follows Han off the bridge, they make a hasty escape from the oscillator of Starkiller Base and try to figure out what they just witnessed as they await the arrival of their suddenly larger party. Later, father and son have an uncomfortable talk.
Brand/Tone : Canonverse, weaving in as many new-canon aspects as possible, but also a good bit of humor. I’m the weirdo obsessed with Alderaani braids and calligraphy. I’ve also dabbled in some meta on here.
1-3 Works :
Footnotes: Rey is having an incredibly difficult time deciphering the Jedi texts, much less actually gaining any meaning from them. In a moment of frustration, she knocks over the final, unopened volume, discovering that someone has left some very insightful commentary – and poetry. Canonverse IX-speculation with meaningful braids and terrible adolescent writings, weaving in aspects from Clone Wars and Rebels.
Alternative Methods (of Pain Relief):Canonverse A/B/O featuring the galaxy’s most clueless virgins. Rey has never exactly had the most normal of reproductive health, and Jakku left her with the pain tolerance of a rancor. But even by her standards, the increasingly awful cramps that have plagued her these last few months are getting a bit… unmanageable. She’s perfectly content to do as she has always done for her entire life, gritting her teeth and soldiering through the pain –
Too bad this is apparently Not An Option when these sensations are shared with a certain Supreme Leader.
Brand/Tone: Canon but slowly branching out to AU. A mix of adventure, fluff, snark, witty banter. Some angst but I try to keep pain train journeys short and worth the destination. Smut is incoming. Mythological and meta influences tend to crop up with alarming frequency along with references to relative esoterica like Gilbert and Sullivan.
My first foray into writing an AU. A twist on the coffee shop AU featuring a Kyloctopus.
This one is a bit of a stew; nearly everything has been thrown into to mix. The tone veers between light and dark (witty rom-com and gothic romance) as one would expect when dealing with Rey and Kylo.
