rey and ben care about each other personally. they are politically and morally at odds while being personally and passionately interested in and invested in each other. hence, the tension and, in its current unresolved state, the TRAGEDY of their relationship. you can “i don’t ship it” all you want but this IS the story. this isn’t up for debate.

so as this post says, if you’r finding your blog is all jumbled, old posts popping up to the front, new posts not showing up at all, etc it is because of those posts being flagged and then unflagged. all you have to do is open them to edit and save them again and they’ll go back. 

i just wanted to make this separate post to add that once you do that all your new posts will go back to being visible at the top of your blog as they should be i just did it and now everything’s fine on my blog.

Hello anon you’ve hit on basically my number #1 pet peeve 

The fandom says they want nuance, and when they’re presented with actual nuance –a son killing his father not because he hated him, but because he loved him, because that’s what the dark side does to a person, that’s what it demands, that’s exactly why it’s so bankrupt and we should want Ben to be redeemed from it and what gives the Ben/Han relationship so much nuance and fullness and beauty), then the fandom absolutely bulldozes all of it and gives it the shallowest reading possible. A reading that doesn’t even make sense for the reasons you outlined. Snoke didn’t set up the murders of Han and Rey as tests because he thought Ben didn’t care about them, lmfao. That’s not a test. That’s like acting like Snoke could have asked Ben to kill a random FO officer and it would have had the same emotional impact. I’m just?

I cannot express to you the smugness of my expression when Ben said ‘I didn’t hate him’ in response to Rey asking why he hated Han, lmfao.
