Choose a superpower: Okay, I’ve put a LOT of thought into this one. I’m a songwriter, and my band wrote a song about this. Mine is absolutely shapeshifting.
Favourite drink: I’m a very snobby coffee drinker… Jamaican Blue Mountain style, guys… it’s a life-changer
Song I like at the moment: I think it’s easier to list by artist. I’m really into EDM, and I’ve gotten into Knife Party lately, LOL, although I’m still pretty gaga over Above & Beyond’s latest release (saw them in concert in March and it was grand). But I’ve also recently been using everything Two Steps From Hell has put out as a GREAT writing soundtrack – authors, I highly recommend!!!
Dream career: I’m in IT, for a day job, and it’s a high paying career. I live comfortably, and I am beyond blessed. It also challenges my brain, which is something very necessary to me. I like having a problem to solve. But in my off time, I’m a professional musician, and that is absolutely living a dream. I am generally pretty fulfilled =)
Dream vacation: I travel a bit (although I’m working on contract right now, which doesn’t afford me any time to do so), and I’ve already been to some cool places. I spent a whole summer in 1999 in the Fiji Islands. But my bucket list items are the Maldives, the Seychelles, and Indonesia.
Hogarth house: I took the Pottermore test three times and it placed me as a Gryffindor every single time, but in my heart I’m a Hufflepuff, I know it.
Favourite character: I’m going also to be predictable and say Kylo Ren, but it’s because I honestly believe his character to be the most complex. I like chewy characters like that, the ones with many layers, the ones we like to over-analyze. Makes for great storytelling.
How do I wear my hair: @colliderofhadron , girl, same. I REFUSE to let my grey out, LOL!!! I’m still single, probably because I don’t have time to date but I’m also very picky. I’m happy living on my own, I don’t neeeeed a man so if I’m gonna have one, it’ll be one I want and I haven’t met one I want, LOL. But that doesn’t mean I want to look 10yrs older than I am. Soooooo I am a HUGE fan of Madison Reed. Those guys are doing good work. VERY happy with their product. Otherwise, long and down. My hair’s a bit fluffeh =)
Christmas or Hallowe’en: I’m the weirdo that’s gonna split the middle. I LOVE Thanksgiving. I LOVE it. I’m adventuresome about food, I’m creative with food. I LOVE cooking. But most of all??? My favorite day of the year is the day before Thanksgiving when I go grocery shopping with my mom. We will spend 3+ hours at that dumb store and laugh and laugh and laugh and drink good coffee and just revel in each others company. It is my absolute favorite.
When did you start this blog: When I started writing The Machine. I lurked out here quite a bit as a Reylo after TFA, but I never made my own account. I just bookmarked the hell out of people. I follow all of those people today =) A few even followed me back. Feels good to be a contributor now, and colleagues with people I looked up to. Anyhoo, I started publishing The Machine back in Jan of 2018.
